PEPLINK MAX HD4 MBX

Welcome to your setup guide for the Peplink MAX HD4 MBX. Set-up is easy following a few basic steps and configuration can be completed directly through the InControl2 Portal.

The optional SIM injector can add up to 8 SIM cards to your deployment for added network resilience. The router and SIM injector can be separated by up to 150m, making switching SIM cards a breeze.

Making Configuration Changes

Connect your PC to the Pepwave using an Ethernet cable.

Connect to the port labeled "LAN & Console".

To access the management interface, open a browser window and type the following into the address bar: https://192.168.50.1:8443

(You may receive a security warning and will need to accept to proceed. When prompted, enter the username and password below to access your device.)

USERNAME: admin
PASSWORD: Br0adband! (the 0 is a zero)

CLOUD MANAGEMENT PORTAL ACCESS

You should receive an email soon after your order is entered from [email protected] with instructions to setup your password and to login to the InControl2 Portal. This portal will give you access to make configuration changes, view data usage, setup notifications and many other tools for managing all your Peplink devices

ADD USERS

To add users for access, please send an email to [email protected]
and include the users first and last names and their email address.
If you have forgotten your password, please go to the website and use the "forgot password" link located near the login credentials. Enter your email address and a reset link will be emailed to you shortly

OPTIONAL ANTENNA INSTALLATIONS

You may have received optional antennas with your order. If you are using a Yagi, Omni or mag mount antenna, make sure to remove the existing paddle antenna from the port labeled "Cellular Main" and connect the antenna there.

External antennas will always take the place of the "Cellular Main" paddle antenna.

Make sure to leave the other paddle antenna connected to the port labeled "Cellular Diversity".

! LIGHTNING OR LOW-LEVEL STATIC

If you are in an area that is prone to lightning or low-level static discharge, it is important to correctly install an approved lightning arrestor. Failure to do so could result in damage to the 4G modem. If you feel this is applicable to your site, please contact your sales representative for order information.
